    FLICK STUDIO, TOKYO, Dec. 2013, 9784904894125, 152, English, Scholarly book, Atsuta is a good example to show another characteristic of Japan, which may crash the conventional image of Japan as a single monolithic entity. The cohabitation of different ethnic groups was not rare in this area. The presence of Ainu culture as its indigenous ethnic group was thus decisive from the beginning. An old settlement of Ainu called Kotanbet was the original site of this town. In the course of the 19th century, Atsuta area came to be transformed into a place where indigenous Ainu and Japanese migrant fishermen resided side by side., [Joint work]

  • スイス連邦ドイツ語圏における空間計画体系と空間デザイン手法

    本研究は、スイス連邦ドイツ語圏において、空間計画法が施行された1980年以降を主に、土地利用計画、地区詳細計画、交通インフラ整備、自然生態系の保存活用、農業政策、景域（Landschaft）計画を含む総合的な空間計画体系と空間デザイン手法の特徴的かつ優れた事例を抽出し、その背景、経緯、要因、特徴、課題を明らかにするものである。研究対象地は、チューリッヒ州、バーゼル＝シュタット準州、ルツェルン州、アールガウ州とその主要市町村である。
    当初は、研究初年度である2021年度に、下記の４つの課題a)~d)について、取得済みの文献調査と、WEB調査、第1回現地調査による詳細資料の追加収集を行い、大要を把握する予定としていた。
    a) 連邦による空間計画法、州が策定する(土地利用)基本計画、州と市町村による地区詳細計画、交通インフラ整備、自然生態系の保存活用、農業政策、景域計画を抱合した空間計画と空間デザイン手法の理念と体系の全体像を把握 b) 州と市町村による空間計画と空間デザイン手法の先導的な事例抽出と特徴分析 c) 連邦、州、市町村の計画体制、専門職員の職能、運用実態、他自治体との連携方法 d) 空間計画と空間デザイン手法の事例分析対象地一帯の形成過程、諸制度と手法の新設や更新履歴との関係
    しかしながら、2021年度は、世界的規模の新型コロナウイルス感染拡大が予想以上に長期化・深刻化し、欧州各国において厳しい入国制限、我が国では帰国後の隔離制度が施行されるなど、スイスへの渡航が現実的に可能な状況にはなかった。そこで、第１回現地調査を断念し、取得済みの文献調査と、WEBによって可能な情報収集と分析に集中した。具体的には、課題a)について、スイスドイツ語圏の複数の州を広く俯瞰・把握し、景域に関する計画体系の大要を理解した。

  • Urban-Space and Architectural Design Methods Promoted by the Local Government of Stadt Zuerich and Kanton Basel-Stadt in Switzerland

    The study focuses on Gestaltungsplan by Stadt Zuerich and Bebauungsplan by Kanton Basel-Stadt in Switzerland as the outstanding case examples of urban-space and architectural design method promoted by the local government. The authors investigated the history of the city development, the idea and details of those urban-space and architectural design methods, regulations, organizations and roles of each department/section of both governments. The investigation has been carried during three years in order to collect and study the reference materials and for the on-site survey. In total 75 cases in Stadt Zuerich and 117 cases in Kanton Basel-Stadt have been investigated. Finally, the authors summarized the feature of those design methods.

  • Studies on the Creation of Historical Infrastructure on the basis of Fishery Zones by the Indigenous and the Immigrant in the Coastal Areas of Hokkaido

    Focusing on the historicity of Coastal Areas of Hokkaido, urban formation process around the port town of Atsuta was analyzed in terms of population dynamics so as to clarify its unique historical heritages in comparison with other areas like Hakodate and Biei. In order to inherit local properties to the future generation, participatory workshops were organized in search for its potential resource and its sharing system. The field research has resulted in the identification of Ainu settlement in Kotanbet and the clarification of their land use and daily life. The immigration of Japanese accelerated the formation of the fishery zone around there. The unique typologies of local temples and residences were also identified. The awareness of local residents towards their heritages is comparatively low, but the implementation of open-source heritage management system, which allows the intervention of the third persons, will contribute for disclosing the potential resources of this area.
