    当初の計画であれば2020年度が最終年度であった。しかし、新型コロナウィルス感染症の蔓延状況が継続したために渡航調査等ができず補助事業期間を延長を2020年度、2021年度と申請し、これが認められた。幸いなことに、2022年度はワクチン接種が進み、渡航規制も緩和されたため、ようやくトルコでの現地調査がしやすい状況となった。
    9月に所属の異動があったため、本研究課題に関する渡航調査は2023年3月に実施した。コロナ禍で現地に来られなかった約２年間の間に大きく状況が変わっていたことについてフォローアップすることができたのは、今後の研究の進展につながると考える。
    成果の公表に関しては、11月5日－6日に行われた国立民族学博物館主催のオンライン研究集"Cultural Transmission against Collective Amnesia:Bodies and Things in Heritage Practices"にて、"We are Turkish Nomads from Lycia:” The Changing Relationship between the Locals and Mountain Paths as 'Heritage' in the Context of Tourism in Teke Peninsula, South Turkey"という題目の口頭発表を行った。これは国立民族学博物館特別研究「デジタル技術時代の文化遺産におけるヒューマニティとコミュニティ」の一環で行われた研究集会である。このプロジェクトの研究発表をまとめた2023年度中の出版計画が進んでおり、同じタイトルの論文の初稿は既に提出済みである。
    2022年度は現地調査を実施できたのは大きな成果であるが、補助期間を再再延長し、成果公表を進める。

    本年度も、2020年初より世界的に吹き荒れたコロナ禍の影響により、計画通りに研究を遂行することができなかった。本来ならば、8月から9月にかけて現地トルコの調査地に入る予定だったが、早い段階で見送ることとなった。日本国内におけるコロナの感染状況が落ち着きを見せた2021年末には、本科研が開始して以来はじめてとなる、対面での研究会を開催した（2021年12月11日、於・京都府立大学文学部・歴彩館）。研究報告の内容はつぎのとおりである。①「ウシャク考古博蔵「クロイソスの財宝」の史的文脈と「盗掘言説」の再生産」（阿部拓児）、②「アニ遺跡の歴史とその修復・保全にまつわる諸問題」（守田正志）、③「廃墟か、モスクか、博物館か：トルコで進行するモスク化の動きについての試論」（田中英資）。また、この研究会のおりに、今後の研究計画、現地調査の日程についても話し合いがもたれたが、2022年初からのオミクロン株の爆発的な流行にともない、ふたたび延期せざるをえなかった。
