    Japanese, Scientific journal, 本稿の目的は，1960 年代年に土方巽が創始した暗黒舞踏(以下舞踏) における身体・肉体の 位置づけと，土方を中心とする共同生活の意義を，土方の弟子たちからの聞き取り調査に基づ いて考察することにある。それはまた，舞踏を追求する中で，その弟子たち，すなわち舞踏家 たちが日常実践を通じていかに自らの肉体を模索してきたのかを明らかにすることである。そして，その発言をもとに，肉体として生きることが，いかに人間の在り方を探究し，そして既存概念へ抵抗することになるのかを考察する。 舞踏は日本で始められた前衛的パフォーマンスであり，舞踏家は舞踏を踊る人の呼称である。 舞踏は革命と言われているほど，舞踊の世界に衝撃を与えた。そして，舞踏家は一生舞踏を踊る道を選ぶことで一般社会から外れていった。ここでは，肉体への重視が舞踏における芸術的かつ社会的姿勢であり，これは日々の実践によって実現していると主張する。本研究は，舞踏家7 人に聞き取り調査を行うとともに，それぞれの舞踏稽古の参与観察に基づいたものである。
