  Scientific journal, Abstract. In this study, the seismic soil–structure interaction(SSI) of wind turbine support structures is investigated based on thecomplex mode superposition approach. For accurate and efficient estimationof seismic loadings on wind turbine support structures, an augmented complexmode superposition response spectrum method (RSM) is developed, where themaximum shear force and bending moment of the non-classically damped systemare analytically derived. An empirical formula of the modal damping ratioswith a threshold value for the allowable damping ratio is also proposed toimprove the prediction accuracy of the shear force acting on the footing.Furthermore, additional loadings to consider the contribution of the massmoment of inertia of rotor and nacelle assembly and P−Δeffect to the bending moment on the tower are analytically derived. Theproposed formulae are first demonstrated upon a 2 MW wind turbine supported bytwo different types of foundations. A parametric study is then carried outby changing the tower geometries and soil conditions to propose thethreshold value for the allowable damping ratio.

  本研究は，ドローン撮影によるコンクリート橋梁の腐食ひび割れ画像を用いて，その健全性を非破壊で診断するAIモデルの構築を目指す国際共同研究であり，日本とイタリアの研究機関が連携して進めている．従来の研究では，小型RC供試体による人工的な腐食実験に基づいて，機械学習により鉄筋腐食量を推定するモデルが開発されてきたが，実際の構造物とは寸法や腐食環境が大きく異なるため，現場適用には限界があった．
  本研究では，イタリアにおいて橋齢50年を超える実橋梁を解体・保管し，それらを活用して構造性能の実験的評価を行うBridge|50プロジェクトと連携し，実スケールでのデータに基づいたモデルの開発を行うことで，実構造に対応可能な診断技術の実現を目指している．研究初年度である2024年度には，既往研究の精査および関連技術の文献レビュー，国際共同研究体制の確立，供試体提供スケジュールの策定，研究用設備や分析装置の調整，渡航日程や現地調査の準備等を着実に進めた．また，早稲田大学にて蓄積された既存の腐食実験データを再分析し，AIモデル構築の前段階として，画像処理手法と予測アルゴリズムの組み合わせを検討し，予備的なモデル構築および初期的なシミュレーションも実施した．
  今後は，ミラノ工科大学やLehigh大学の研究者と協働し，提供される実スケール供試体の分析と，実験データを用いたAIモデルの高度化，さらにドローン画像からの健全性自動診断システムの構築を本格的に推進していく予定である．この診断システムが確立すれば，全国各地に点在する老朽化橋梁の点検作業の効率化と精度向上が可能となり，限られたインフラ維持管理予算の中で優先度の高い補修対象を明確に特定できるようになるなど，社会的にも大きな意義を有する．また，国際的な技術連携を通じて，日本国内にとどまらず世界の老朽インフラの安全確保にも貢献することが期待される．
