  実証哲学の創始者であるオーギュスト・コントの主著『実証哲学講義』（1830－42）の西洋思想史上での意義を、哲学・哲学史、科学・科学史の文脈を厳密に押えつつ明らかにしていく、このチームでの共同研究は、まだ和訳が存在していない『実証哲学講義』の本格和訳をチームで準備することと並行して行われている。昨年度もコロナの影響が残り、もっぱらオンラインでであったが、研究分担者と研究協力者を合わせた計10名のチームは、年間を通じて隔週で、毎回3時間に及ぶ研究会を開催し、輪番で担当者が、『実証哲学講義』の訳で自身が担当している部分の訳稿を紹介すると共に、その部分での哲学（史）的・科学（史）的解釈問題を提起し、それをめぐって全員で議論する仕方で作業を続けてきた。出版に向けての翻訳作業は近日に訳稿を出版社に持ち込める段階にまで到達してきている。
  他方で、並行して、『実証哲学講義』の意義をめぐる諸点で、たとえば、まず、当時の数学、天文学、物理学、化学を経て生物学におよぶ諸科学の大革新にコントはどのようにアプローチし、自身の実証哲学の形成に臨んで行ったのかの詳しい足取りが、コントの理工科学校（ポリテクニクス）学生時代の講義ノートの検討にもよって、さらに明らかにされてきている。また、18世紀のカバニスやデステュット・ド・トラシーなどイデオローグの生物学の哲学とコント実証哲学の生物学の哲学との近さと遠さとがより精確に把握されてきている。さらに、ラマルク、ビシャ、キュビエ、ブランヴィル、ブルセなど当時の実証的な生物学、医学とコントの生物学の哲学との関係が、例えば環境概念をめぐって解明されてきている。さらには、コントの社会学のその後の社会哲学、倫理学への影響が、たとえばベルクソンにおいても決定的であることが確認されてきている。

• 近現代フランス倫理思想に基づく「自己愛」概念の包括的研究

  本研究においては、まず、ミシェル・アンリの小説『若き士官』において、「悪」と「生」が重ねられていること、ならびにこの重ね合わせにおいて、「自己愛」が一種の鍵概念となることを明らかにし、また、上記のミシェル・アンリの小説において、「悪」が、存在者の存在の条件とされているのではないか、という解釈を提出した。また、ミシェル・アンリの小説一般についても、「自己性」や「悪」との関わりの中で分析を行った。
  また、「自己愛」概念については、この解毒剤として機能するイロニーの概念に着目し、特に、「イロニー」を新たに「反語」として引き受け、「反語的精神」を賞揚した林達夫の姿勢を日本独自のものとして捉え、かつ、彼に影響を与えたジャンケレヴィッチのイロニー論との対比の中で、林達夫の「反語的精神」の歴史的意義を論じた。即ち彼の反語的精神とは、言論を抑圧する社会状況においての生存のための術策であると同時に、彼自身が明言するように、彼の生き方の原則であること、またその背後には、一種美的な発想があり、即ち、芸術的とは現実と理念との対立、矛盾をあるがままに表現しようとする、という林達夫の芸術観が、林達夫の反語論の背景にあること、また、ジャンケレヴィッチのイロニー論が一定の影響を与えていることを明らかにした。
  その他、ルイ・ラヴェルの著作については読解作業を続けており、「悪」を批判しつつも「善」の実現のために必要な条件であるとするラヴェルの悪論が、彼の自己愛批判と平行関係にあることを明らかにしようと考え、現在論文を準備中である。

  This study gained a bird's-eye view of the development of 19th century French philosophy by focusing on the hesitation and conflict over the reception of Spinoza's Pantheistic ideas via Germany. Based on individual cases, it brought to light the influence of Spinozism as a “minor philosophy” on the developpement of spiritualism, positivism, and socialism, which are the roots of modern French thought.

  The core idea of Bergson's major work “Matter and Memory”, approaching the philosophical problems of mind from a perspective of time, has long remained obscure and enigmatic. Thanks to the recent development in the sciences of consciousness as well as in the analytic metaphysics, its theoretical potentialities and advantages were ready to be revealed in many productive aspects. By setting a clear focus onto the relation of consciousness and time, which is peculiar to “Matter and Memory”, our multidisciplinary research network, including not only philosophers, but also neuroscientists, pathologists, researchers of artificial intelligence, aesthetics, psychology, ethics, etc., have achieved remarkable results as efficiently as possible. The two first international symposia have already published as two proceedings and the third will also be published in 2018.

  In our research, we found that professions in our age are so diverse that we cannot entirely grasp them simply by reference to the traditional notion of professions. We also revealed that we have to take into consideration such ideas as collective autonomy, professional-layperson relationship, and trans-professional issues in order to reconstruct the very idea of professional ethics. Furthermore, we attempted to reconstruct a context-specific, up-to-date version of professional ethics for engineers, physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals, people working for security and military sectors, businesspersons, researchers, teachers, and journalists.

It has made been cleat that, though Renouvier's philosophy is not well know, his philosophy which has clarified the significance of the philosophical and political liberty of the human being, contributed to the stabilization of the French 3re Republic and to the introduction of Kantian philosophy into France.

  本研究は、19 世紀のフランスの科学哲学者クールノーの科学哲学の全貌を描き出すことを目的としたものである。そのために、ほぼ彼と同時代に生きつつ彼とは異なった科学哲学を築き上げ、実証哲学の祖となったオーギュスト・コントの科学哲学との比較を出発点に研究を行い、しかる後に、同時代の科学的知見をクールノーがいかに吸収して自らの科学哲学を構築したかを研究した。こうした手法を通じて、クールノーの科学認識論の前提となる合理主義的な世界観を素描すると同時に、特に彼の「偶然」の哲学、ならびに「偶然」を扱う確率の哲学を素描した。また「偶然」を認める彼の哲学が、独自の生命哲学、社会哲学を可能にしたこと、ならびにその形成過程における論理展開を明らかにした。

  The aim of this study is to collect the existing distortions of Anglo-Saxon philosophies of science which have passed over the important facets of hard sciences implications for humanities from the viewpoint of French epistemologies.   本年度の研究においては、前半期においては、平成16年度に集中的に読解作業を行ったビシャの生命論についてまとめ、特にその生命論のフランス哲学への影響、わけてもメーヌ・ド・ビランやオーギュスト・コントに与えた影響を主題的に研究することで、19世紀初頭における黎明期の生物学と哲学との相互交流を明らかにすることにつとめた。この作業を通じて、「生命」という主題を前にしたときの哲学の語り口の一つの特徴を明らかにした。即ち、メーヌ・ド・ビランにせよコントにせよ、ビシャが実証的な生理学において分割した「植物的-動物的」といった生命のあり方を改変し、「植物的生」には独自の地位を与えない、といった戦略をとるのである。これはメーヌ・ド・ビランとコントが一見すると対立する哲学者であるだけに興味深い共通点となっている。8月頃よりは、上記主題の研究を継続しつつ、フランス科学論の系譜をさらに追跡するための、コントより一世代後のフランスの科学哲学者クルノーに着目し、その著作の読解作業を行った。クルノーは経済学の業績が日本では特に知られているが、まず彼の生命論を中心に読解作業を行い、彼の科学論における生物学の位置について明らかにすることにつとめた。ここで注目すべきは、クルノー哲学においてはコント哲学と異なり、生物現象こそが最も神秘的な解き明かしがたいものとされている点である。この点についてはクルノー自身が社会...
