  • Development of next-generation high-performance seismic isolation system to prepare for earthquake ground motions with various properties

    In this work, we proposed a seismic isolation system that harnesses cutting-edge seismic isolation technology to form an effective structural system for earthquake disaster prevention. Our aim is to create a seismic isolation structure that is sufficiently robust to a variety of ground motions, such as long-period motions caused by mega subduction earthquakes and large-amplitude pulse-like motions caused by inland earthquakes. We developed two high-performance isolation systems: a highly durable isolation system that can maintain operation even for large and repeated deformations, and a displacement-controlled isolation system that can reduce acceleration without exceeding the deformation limit even for large-amplitude seismic ground motions. The proposed systems will form a vital part of the next-generation structural systems for future earthquake disaster prevention.

  • Analysis model for seismic sliding bearings considering various dependencies

    This research developed numerical models for seismic sliding bearings considering pressure-velocity-temperature dependencies. Mechanical model and thermal conductivity analysis model are separately produced, and are combined together in the numerical analysis.
    Using the developed model, thermal-mechanical coupled behavior analyses were performed. Effect of arrangements of sliding materials on temperature rise of the devices was evaluated by simulation analysis results.

  • 複合応力状態における免震積層ゴムの終局挙動解析法に関する研究

    本研究では、複合応力下における免震積層ゴムの力学挙動解析法を開発した。これは、免震建物の水平二方向応答特性や大変形時の軸力変動によって生じる免震積層ゴムの座屈特性の変化などを精緻に再現することで、多方向から地震入力を受ける免震建物の応答特性をより正確に把握しようとするものである。本年度は、主として下記の3点について取り組んだ。
    1 免震装置のモデル化
    鉛プラグ入り積層ゴムについて、丸型ゴムを対象とした定式化を用いて、高軸力が作用した際の大変形時座屈特性を良好に表現する力学モデルを作成した。また、定式化において適用可能な近似式を示した。弾性滑り支承について、軸力と水平二方向復元力の連成効果に面圧依存性を取り入れた力学モデルを作成した。高減衰積層ゴムについて、水平二方向加力時に生じるねじれ変形の影響を考慮した力学モデルを作成した。これらを用いて、静的加力実験のシミュレーション解析や地震応答解析を行った。
    2 免震建物の地震応答解析
    免震建物の数値計算モデルを作成して地震応答解析を行い、建物のロッキング挙動が生じた場合や免震層の構造パラメータが変動した場合の応答値の変動について検証した。積層ゴムを用いた免震建物では、ロッキング挙動下での地震応答において、過度の座屈現象の進展が回避されるという応答特性を持つことを示した。また、免震部材の不確定パラメータを考慮したうえで、免震建物のロバスト安定性を数値的に判断する手法を提案した。
    3 計算プログラムのオープンソース化
    免震積層ゴムの復元力モデルおよび力学モデルを、オープンソース形式で構造解析プログラムの開発を行っているOpen Sees (Open System for Earthquake Engineering Simulation)に提供した。計算プログラムはウェブ上で公開されており、誰でもダウンロードして使用することが可能である。
