Japanese, 北海道大学スラブ研究センターは、ロシアをはじめとするスラブ・ユーラシアの地域研究に携わる、国内の中核的機関であり、2010年には共同利用・共同研究拠点の指定を受けた。その図書室および北大附属図書館等の関連コレクションは、国内最大規模のものであり、内外の多くの研究者から活用され、高く評価されている。その運営は、主題専門家の教員を中心に行われている、国内的では少数の例のひとつであるが、収集水準の維持・向上、地域的バランスの改善、収蔵スペースの確保などが課題である。 - アレクサンドル1世期のロシア正教教育改革とプラトン (プラトンとロシア(3))

Japanese, Scientific journal,NIIの総合目録においては，著者名典拠レコードの新規登録件数が低下傾向にあり，書誌レコード中の著者標目フィールドと著者名典拠とのリンク形成率もまた低下傾向にある。その一方，著者名典拠レコードの「歩留まり」には向上が見られるが，これには新規レコード作成に与かる館の減少が関係している可能性がある。NIIの総合目録システムにおいては，参加館が多く登録書誌レコードが増えるほど目録負担が軽減され，それがさらに拡大を生むという循環の一方で，参加館の中に目録作成能力が十分でない館が増え，「歩留まり」の低下により，維持コストを引き上げる等の負の循環が生じるおそれがあり，それを踏まえた運営体制が要請される。

2004年度に、地域研究関連諸機関の連絡組織として発足した地域研究コンソーシアムに組織された情報資源共有化研究会は、2006 年11月に、第2回海外調査を実施し、米国のOCLC,CRLなど、学術図書館のネットワークを支える機関を中心に訪問した。米国の学術図書館のネットワークはOCLC,CRL,ARLなど、それぞれの役割を異にする非営利団体によって支えられる面が大きい。これらの組織は、図書館が自動的に加入するものでなく、パートナーシップによって成立している。日本においても、資源共有を促進する上では、こうしたパートナーシップに基づく協力関係を組織する可能性について、検討する必要があるだろう。 The Special Interest Group for Area Studies Resource Sharing was formed in 2004 under the auspices of the Japan Consortium for Area Studies. 2023年度は、兎内が、1920年初めにウラジオストクに成立し1年近く存続した、沿海州ゼムストヴォ参事会臨時政府についての論文「沿海州ゼムストヴォ参事会臨時政府（1920年）試論」を『ロシア史研究』に発表した。内戦期に成立したこの極東地方政権は、シベリア出兵を考える上で不可欠の要素とみられるが、研究は乏しく、日本でこれをテーマの中心とした論文が出るのは初めてである。
次いで、井竿富雄が、「琿春事件・間島出兵被害者に対する救恤」を同じ『ロシア史研究』に発表した。1920年秋に沿海州と朝鮮に接する間島に生じたこれらの出来事は、朝鮮軍、ウラジオ派遣軍、関東軍が出動し、シベリア出兵との関係が深い。井竿は、この2つの事件の対応が、被害者の救済という面では大きく異なる内容と経緯をたどったことを明らかにした。
また、中嶋毅は、内戦期ハルビンのロシア人社会や中東鉄道をめぐる状況を検討し、これを論文「内戦期ハルビンの在外ロシア世界の変容 1918-1920」として『人文学報』に発表した。革命・内戦期のハルビンについては、これまでいくつかの研究があるものの、中国（北京政府と張作霖政権）、ロシア（ボリシェヴィキ政権とその他諸政府）、日本などがからんだこの時期の状況を理解することは容易でない。中嶋論文は、現地の新聞や公文書等を丹念に調べて複雑な状況を整理したもので、非常に役立つ業績である。詳細については省くが、その他の分担者各氏も、それぞれのテーマで研究を進め、学会での報告や論文の発表を進めている。
また、史料の公開については、シベリア出兵関係の写真帖2冊の画像をウェブ公開したほか、立花小一郎の日記の1921年4-6月分を、『近現代東北アジア地域史研究会ニューズレター』に発表した。

シベリア出兵は、第一次世界大戦とロシア革命・内戦のさなかに1918年8月に開始された。このころアメリカ大統領ウィルソンは、無併合、無賠償、民族独立などを内容とする14か条の外交原則を唱え、1919年にはパリ講和会議を経て国際連盟が発足するなど、国際政治の在り方が大きく転換しようとした時代だった。シベリア出兵における日本外交は、そうした転換への対応に失敗したとみられることが多いが、必ずしも単純に旧来の帝国主義外交を貫こうとしたわけではなく、対米英関係に配慮し、新しい外交の原理をそれなりに取り入れ、経済的進出を重視するなどの方向性を含むものだったことを示すことができた。しかし、外交面、経済面とも、具体的な実証は今後に待つべき部分が大きい。
この他、日本が出兵中に行った武器や資金等の援助、およびロシアの駐日武官との関係について、内外の文書史料をもとに実証的研究を行い、論文として発表した。
また、1918年11月に成立したが短命に終わった執政政府に参加したロシア陸軍の重鎮ヴァシーリー・ボルディレフの日本滞在(1918年末から1920年初め)について研究し、論文を投稿中(掲載決定)である。
ウラル以東のロシア内戦において重要ファクターであり、その援助が連合国の出兵目的の柱とされたチェコスロヴァキア軍団内で刊行された新聞『日刊チェコスロヴァキア』掲載記事の分析を進め、ハイラル事件、および韓国独立運動との関係について発表した。
出兵は、ロシア極東部と満州にまたがって行われ、関東軍および朝鮮軍はウラジオ派遣軍の活動を支援した。初代関東軍司令官(1919年4月～1921年1月)をつとめ、その後ウラジオ派遣軍司令官を務めた立花小一郎(1861～1929)の日記翻刻を進め、その一部を発表した。

The following points were clarified by the research project "The Role of Returnees from Sakhalin in the Multiculturalism of Hokkaido" (JSPS Grant Kiban B, 2011-13): 1. Returnee policy in Japan is carried out within the framework of the nation-state. It is a policy for Japanese people who had previously failed to return. However, 2. The young generation returnees have multi-layered identities and represent a multilingual and multicultural reality. Their multicultural living space extends over Russia, South Korea, and Japan.3. The policy of the nation-state is based on the existence of a single language and a monocultural living space. Inevitably, some families become separated. Furthermore the problem of the integration of returnees into Japanese society is also generated.

The aim of our study is to translate and explicate Sobornoe Ulozhenie of 1649 or the Low Code of 1649 and "The Tale of Avraamy Paritsyn about the siege of the Trinity St.Sergius monastery". Sobornoe Ulozhenie consolidated the Russian slaves and peasants into a new serf class and established the social order at the beginning of 17th century. "The Tale of Avraamy Paritsyn" described the siege of his monastery between 1608 and 1610 by Polish forces,
the liberation of Moscow, and the process of electing Mikhail Fedorovich
Romanov as tsar, the end of the conflict with Poles and so on. Bothe of two documents are important and necessary to understand the arussian pre-modern history around the Smuta or the Time of Troubles before the rise of the Romanov dynasty. We already published the results of our research work inbulettin.

Filaret (Drozdov, Metropolitan of Moscow, 1782-1867), who participated reform of ecclesiastical education of Russian Orthodox Church in the reign of Alexander I and played important role in it, had close relation with Arzamas Circle, that aimed to political reform in Russia, and his view of Christianity was close to Protestant. In these years, a new religious policy was promoted, established Ministry of Religious Affairs and Education (1817). Its model was taken from Prussia, but probably aroused much opposition from the clergies of Orthodox Church, and the new system was abandoned in 1824.

It is the aim of this study to reconstruct the Russian modern cultural history of the 19th - 20th century from the perspective of Russian Platonism. As a result of this research it became clear that under the influence of Western anti-positivist thinkers the Russian thinkers of the beginning of 20 century uniquely processed western established approaches or framework in different ways, for example by displacement and replacement of them, or anticipated them rather than simply accepted them. And this study found that there was affluent prehistory of perceptions of Platonism in the first half of 19 century in Russia. Generally speaking, as a result of this study it became clear that the framework of the Russian Platonism is an important thread of guidance in order to reconsider the works of thinkers who have hitherto been difficult to understand within the established schematic understanding of intellectual and cultural history of Russia in the 19th -20th centuries.
